old - How to install Vote!

Email us at pole2polls@gmail.com and we will coordinate a banner drop-off.

Before you set out:

  • Scout your location and wood utility pole.
  • When you choose a pole consider both car and pedestrian traffic to decide which direction Vote! should be placed for best visibility.
  • If installing more than one Vote! remember a little goes a long way they are very visible you spread them around your area
  • Ask a friend to join you it is faster, easier and more fun!  But it can be done solo as well.

Installation

Pick your WOOD utility polebands will not stay in place effectively on metal

Decide angle of placement (ex. VOTE! faces more toward car traffic or pedestrian)

Be sure VOTE! is right side up

Place as high as possible on pole.  Do not cover anything that looks official

To hold band in place join the ties attached on top at the back and make any necessary adjustments

Before securing with cable ties stretch the band around the pole and bring the ends together to meet in the back and create a seam. If the band is too small do the best you can if it is too large fold ends underneath.

Loop cable ties from one end across to the other and tighten Be sure you place cable tie through all layers

Place 4 cable ties down the back evenly spaced to the bottom.  Seam the back as well as you can and make as tight as possible

Re-tie top and tighten if necessary

Tuck in the ties from the top so nothing is dangling.

Text_______________ with location of your pole.  Photos encouraged but not required  if you can't text at the site please let us know later.

Make sure you leave nothing behind in the area.
